The Danish Gladsaxe Chamber Choir, conducted by Paul Kim, sings Scandinavian and English music by Britten, Byrd, Elgar, Holmboe, Komulainen, Lange-Mueller, Lindberg, Carl Nielsen, Nystedt, Pedersson, Schultz and Tallis.

The Micklegate Singers are joining with the choir for this concert to perform music by Byrd, Andrew Carter and Kedrov, with a join performance of Britten’s Hymn to the Virgin.

Gladsaxe Chamber Choir is a Danish choir from the Copenhagen area with a classical repertoire embracing music from the Renaissance to today. The choir was founded in 1970 and presently it has 38 members. Their main focus is on a capella music from Europe in particular but they also perform music from other parts of the world. The choir frequently arranges or participates in concerts presenting major works with instrumental support and vocal soloists.
